Rough Country 2 inch leveling kit for Chevy Silverado Z71

During the past two days, I have spent my time after work installing a Rough Country 2 inch leveling kit and N2.0 shocks on my 2005 Chevy Silverado Z71.  This project originated from my OEM shocks having over 100,000 miles on them and were completely shot.  The old shocks would compress, but were slower than molasses to retract back, resulting in an extremely rough ride.

I purchased the Rough County full leveling kit from their website, which arrived promptly thereafter.  BTW I called after sending my order because I forgot to add the shock boots, and they said no problem and sent them with no shipping charge.  The full kits came with two torsion keys, two front shocks, two spacer blocks and U bolts, and two rear shocks.  The instructions that came with the parts were very vague, but there are plenty of YouTube videos that help tremendously.

I successfully installed the kit during the course of two evenings, using only hand tools and the help of a buddy.  Overall the installation was pretty easy and straight forward.  The kit raised my truck 2 inches and leveled the front end with the rear.  I think that it looks awesome and the ride is GREAT!  The 265 all terrain tires currently on my truck look OK on foot, but they sure look silly in some of the pictures I took.  No problem, I plan on getting a new set of 285 tires soon; either the classic BFG AT or the new Cooper ST Maxx (which I like a lot).

I am very happy with the new look and feel of my truck.  Well worth the money.
